Over the years, you’ve shared what makes Scala Days valuable to you: the conversations between the talks, meeting people with similar interests, reconnecting with old friends, understanding where Scala is heading, getting hands-on with new technology, finding your next opportunity, and becoming more involved in the community.
You also shared aspects that are more challenging to navigate. Choosing between two talks you’d love to attend. Cutting a great conversation short because the next session is starting. Wishing there were more opportunities to meet speakers and other members of the Scala community.
Thank you for all the feedback you’ve shared over the years. It has helped Scala Days evolve year after year, and it became the blueprint for our biggest redesign yet.
For Scala Days 2026, we’ve kept everything that makes Scala Days… Scala Days, while designing the experience around the people who make it special.
Attendees will find more opportunities to learn, ask questions, meet the people behind the ideas, and build relationships that continue long after the conference ends. Whether it’s your first Scala Days or your tenth, it should feel easier to connect, participate, discover the projects and companies shaping the Scala ecosystem, and explore new career opportunities.
Speakers will have more opportunities to continue the conversation beyond the stage through dedicated discussion sessions, interactive panels, and direct exchanges with attendees. Every talk becomes the beginning of a discussion, not the end of one.
Sponsors will have more meaningful ways to engage with the community through post-talk discussions, networking activities, and hands-on experiences. We want to create genuine conversations where attendees can learn about the technologies, teams, and opportunities shaping the Scala ecosystem.
Volunteers will continue to play a key role in creating the welcoming atmosphere that makes Scala Days special, while enjoying the conference, meeting the community, and experiencing everything the event has to offer.
So for this edition, we will have focused 30-minute talks followed by dedicated discussion time after every session; bring in Interactive Labs as a new hands-on format; offer interactive panel discussions and facilitated networking, and make room for the conversations that make conferences memorable.
Our goal is simple: we want you to leave Scala Days feeling energized, connected, inspired, and with a clearer picture of where Scala is today, where it’s going, and how you can be part of its future.
We hope you’ll join us for the content and stay for the community.
