With ScalaDays fast approaching, we are thrilled to annouce that we are now offering Diversity Tickets and an option for children to participate in the conference. We hope that with this, together with our already existing ticket option, we give everyone in the community the possibility to participate in ScalaDays in Berlin this year.
Children at ScalaDays
We know that attending a conference can be challenging for parents. Children under the age of 16 can come to ScalaDays free of charge. Tickets include catering on both conference days. For younger children, we provide baby changing facilites. As we cannot provide organized childcare services, we allow one additional adult to accompany the child. Child tickets are also available in our main ticket shop.
Diversity Tickets
As organizers we want to make sure that everyone can particpate fully in ScalaDays. We therefore have initiated a Diversity Ticket Program, providing fully sponsored tickets for underrepresented groups within the Scala Community. This includes, but is not limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA people, disabled people, and people facing economic or social hardships.
We also provide the option to purchase Diversity Fund Contributions when buying a regular ticket. When you buy a Diversity Fund Contribution, the proceeds are put in a pool to pay for Diversity Tickets.
