One typeclass derivation to rule them all: XML parsing using Dotty's typeclass derivation

About this Session

While Akka Cluster is designed to be fault-tolerant, there will be times when your environment just isn't working as expected. Whether it's a newly configured application not processing messages, or an outage in a high-load, mission-critical production environment, it's crucial to get up and running as quickly and safely as possible.

This session will discuss our experiences of how to most effectively collect and understand Akka Cluster diagnostics. We'll talk through using these diagnostics to work out what's gone wrong, and how to recover from a system outage. Using this new-found knowledge, you will be equipped to handle any problem your cluster throws at you.

Leandro Bolivar

I am Leandro Bolivar, I live and work in Colombia and have been a Scala developer since 2014. I did some shy contributions to the Scala OSS community (Cats, Monix, Magnolia, etc) and this is the first time that I am taking a step to participate in an event such as this one. I work in S4N, a company that has helped with Scala adoption in some latin american companies in Colombia, Panama and Mexico. I have learned that the best way of teaching and learning is with a sense of empathy to your fellow developers and understanding that we all share the same purpose: to deliver the best possible outcome given our knowledge and abilities. If we are resolved to always expand our knowledge and improve our abilities then we will always deliver the best possible value.
