Scala is now pretty much a mature language, industry adoption is expanding from startups and early adopters to more conservative companies at various pace in different countries. The ecosystem has grown a lot in the last few years in multiple direction.
This session takes the point of view of a newcomer to provide a "tour d'horizon" of scala: the libraries, the build tools, IDE support, the community support, etc.
This session doesn't require any specific knowledge.
This session aims to provide new developers, developers trying to push Scala professionally, and curious practictioners a map of the Scala ecosystem with its strengths and weaknesses with arguments to help support or defend respectively.
